This is a Talavera Lizard measuring about 9 Long x 10 Wide. The picture shows several painting styles and the one you recieve will be identical in shape and size but the color and pattern will vary. Each piece is made of ceramic and painted in the traditional Talavera style. Since each piece is individually hand painted by Talavera artists, no two pieces will be identical and the picture is a representation of the general painting patterns and colors used. Talavera is an art form that has its roots starting in the 16th Century. Original styles have been influenced with Spanish, Arabic, Italian and Chinese origins.
